British techno sorcerer and psychedelic shaman James Holden is a man of many talents: zeitgeist-defining label boss, trend-setting producer, hugely in-demand monster remixer. Between a hectic touring schedule which has taken in just about every corner of the world, running his Zeitgeist-defining label, and his status as hugely in-demand remixer, it is little wonder that Holden's own original productions have occasionally seemed a little thin on the ground.

Finding the time to shut yourself away in the studio without losing touch with that interaction with the dancefloors of Europe remains an eternal problem for the premier league DJ. But now that Holden's dream studio makeover is complete (for the moment), he is determined to put his enviable collection of vintage analogue and modular synthesizers to good use in transferring all of the esoteric ideas floating around in his head to vinyl: the time has come to begin plotting the next chapter in the James Holden story.
