Christina Wade

Dr. Christina Wade is a beer historian specialising in the hidden histories of brewing, with a focus on women’s roles. She is the author of Filthy Queens: A History of Beer in Ireland (2025) and The Devil’s in the Draught Lines: 1000 Years of Women in Britain’s Beer History (2024), which won Best Book About Beer or Pubs 2024. Founder of the Ladies Craft Beer Society of Ireland and co-host of the Beer Ladies Podcast, Christina combines academic research with engaging storytelling to celebrate beer’s cultural heritage.
